You have to be afraid of contacting energizer company, they get snobby and snooty, sometimes they not reply back with info, sometimes they get opinionated and remark sarcastically, you have to be afraid if they cut you off with programming of doorbell cam so it not work for you, they do not inform what existing doorbell systems this works with, you cannot print out any manuals so when on internet you are wasting time bouncing around to find an answer to your problems, even doorbell electricians have problems where they isolate unit by itself and now you have two doorbell systems, I have been dealing with Energizer company for three years on issues with this doorbell cam and if you have need to contact someone well good luck with that… you are dealing with a firmware company, a device company, And the Energizer sale dept, you can’t download manuals for troubleshooting, specs, or guides on programming, goin thru thar internet menus wastes your time and confuses you in finding the answers you seek….Ma– iOS 16.4 is out, bringing clearer phone calls, HomeKit tweaks and push notifications from web apps. They also can be linked up with my Google Home, which is nice, so I can use the plugs in automations over in that system as well. Anyway, I finally figured it out, though, and now I can use my plugs again. For some reason the interface has buttons that look like they’re grayed out that I didn’t even realize were buttons at first, but I had to tap them to continue. I also struggled with the app to figure out what it wanted me to do. There’s 3 different ways to attempt to configure devices, and I had to try all 3 before the last method worked. Still, the app struggled to get the devices configured. (That’s wifi gen 1, I believe, if you’re curious, though gen 4 devices are usually backwards compatible.) Anyway, just a few weeks ago I had an opportunity to get an extender that happens to create a 2.4GHz network, so these devices started working again. My older (2 years old if I recall) smart plugs, and this app, apparently only work with a 2.4GHz network. I almost gave up using this several months ago when we upgraded our wifi to a gen 6 mesh system.
